3G Spectrum Efficiency Improvement for Telecom Operator in Bangladesh

CHALLENGES

A mobile operator required a 3rd party consultancy service to improve the Spectrum Efficiency of one of its highest revenue generating area. Improvement was required to be done without additional OPEX (spectrum) and CAPEX (expansions, new sites).

SOLUTION

  • Cyberteq used its performance improvement methodology, through a series of actions, assessment, analysis and recommendations (SW & HW tuning) based on correlation between systems data and field measurements data
  • Cyberteq engagement model is performance based, part of payment is related to achievements (pre-defined KPIs with target values)

RESULTS

  • Cyberteq managed to improve the Spectrum Efficiency and Throughput by 33% (reached max target values) without any additional OPEX and without new investments
  • Capacity gain, serving more users with higher throughput
  • Speech Drop Rate improved by 40%
  • Overall customer experience improved
  • Increased revenue streams for both voice and data services
