End to End Audit and Benchmark for Telecom Operators in Cameroon

CHALLENGES

The Cameroon President provided an order to conduct a technical audit by an international consultancy company for the four telecom operators due to the poor offered QoS.

SOLUTION

  • Cyberteq conducted an end to end audit for all the four operators covered the Core, Radio, Transmission, and IP networks in addition to information security audit
  • Cyberteq conducted country wide benchmarking campaign through field measurements for offered operator’s voice and data services (2G, 3G, LTE and CDMA technologies)

RESULTS

  • Cyberteq provided detailed audit reports for each operator and benchmark report comparing the coverage and quality indicators for all operators with list of implementable recommendations for QoS and customer experience improvement
  • The results were presented to public on Oct 27th in presence of her excellency Minette Libom Li Likeng, Cameroon’s minister of post and telecommunication (Minpostel)
  • The Telecommunication Minister declared that the results of the audit confirmed the ongoing degradation of the quality of the services of all the operators due to non-compliance with their specification and the poor technical support by the sector’s regulator
