CHALLENGES
An operator wanted to achieve better utilization of its equipment & frequency spectrum resources to maximize ROI, improve customer perception and re-farm existing spectrum for 3G and LTE.
SOLUTION
- Cyberteq was awarded full turnkey project and delivered a range of services including complete site audit, and network assessment to uncover opportunities for improvement
- Followed by implementation of recommendations, spectrum re-farming using Automatic Frequency Planning, Interference Matrix from subscribers’ measurements, and finally network benchmarking with competitors after optimization was completed
RESULTS
- Accurate site database from extensive site surveys
- Better overall QoS and ROI by liberating spectrum for 3G (4.2 MHz) and LTE 1800 (10 MHz) without additional investment
- Network traffic increased by 15%
- Network performance improved for both voice & data and with 20% improved data throughput
- Recommendations to meet and exceed competitions from the Benchmarking campaign through field measurements
